I am a highly motivated individual with a passion for teaching and education in general. I have therefore trained myself in this regard to position myself for a career in the educational sector. In terms of my education, I have a first degree in Early Childhood Education (B. Ed Early Childhood) from the University of Education, Winneba. I also have acquired a Masters in Educational Psychology from the University of Cape Coast. I am currently pursuing an MPhil in Early Childhood Education I also have plans to further educate myself for my set goal of becoming a renowned educationist. I have over the years gained experience and skills in teaching at various levels. The period of my internship whilst doing my 1st Degree and National Service prepared me for my career in teaching and in the educational sector. I have worked for close to 10 years as a teacher at both the preschool and Primary school levels and am currently the head teacher of my school. I have been privileged to work with a school that is very mindful of the professional development of its teachers and I have benefited and gained a lot from the various Continuous Professional Development programmes organized for staff. It is through these professional development programmes that I was motivated to pursue my education to the master’s level and I am being inspired to seek avenues to impact my knowledge and experience with other people. I also have a great passion for Information Communication Technology (I.C.T). I have done several courses in I.C.T and I taught the subject for close to five years in my current workplace. With the skills and knowledge I have, I was able to develop and manage the school’s database which was in use for three years. I have over the years through work and other life experiences gained competencies and skills that are vital to my set career goals and objectives. I have remarkable computer skills and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. I am very conscious of the importance of time and have acquired time management skills. Being a part of the pioneer teachers who were recruited when Hope Academy International started, I have gained a lot of leadership skills and have had the opportunity to coach and mentor other teachers who have joined the school. I know the importance of teamwork and team spirit in any life endeavour and I have made great efforts to acquire remarkable team spirit and communication skills which have also landed me the headship position in my school. My technical skills make me a handy person who has the knack to put my skills to use in any area needed, be it repairs, improvisation, etc. One needs to be organized and disciplined in other to achieve set goals and objectives, in view, I have excellent organization skills that I employ in all facets of my work and personal life. I am very resourceful, adaptable and self-directed, and able to handle very challenging situations. This is a result of well-developed communication skills and organizational capabilities. I am a competent professional teacher who is good at developing and maintaining an excellent working relationships with colleagues, students, parents and superiors. I have the ability to quickly learn new concepts and systems and able to develop expertise in a very limited time.
